Tunic/dress. I really like this design-  It was kind of like making an abstract painting with fibers and yarn..

I don't do a lot of eco print. I live up north and the famed Eucalyptus does not like the climate here.  But there are local options...like this grapevine..

Finishing this coat with silk and velvet fabrics, pleats in the back and pockets. It is amazing how you can build up your project on the table- using knowledge hard earned while I was still trying to sew..Not a stitch needed here and I love it!

May 8, 2014 - February 15, 2015

Higbee Gallery

Sherry Schofield and Sharon Kilfoyle/ The Kent State University Museum is  hosting this invitational exhibition of felted work by thirteen contemporary textile artists from the United States and Canada.

Below are some  pictures of my pieces. I am looking forward to see the work of the other artists represented- so many very talented artists. I am hoping this exhibit will inspire others to experiment with the amazing possibilities of felt.

I love making, and wearing, these skirts. This one incorporates my daughters old tights, lace from the blouse I wore on my first NY city trip, salvaged finds and an hideous ugly lace blouse scored on sale for $1...It is so fun to put all this together in a new way
